Criminal destiny gordon korman5/9/2023 Korman wrote several adventure trilogies that combine realistic fiction with suspense and mystery. Most of Korman’s other series, however, do not have such slapstick humor. The alien looks like a boy, but he has a special computer nose that he activates by sticking his finger in it. These books, written in the late 1990s and early 2000s, involve the humorous interactions between a human boy and an alien. He often injected comedy into his story lines, as with the Nose Pickers series. Korman generally featured realistic fiction, adventure, or mystery in his books. In 1985 he graduated from New York University with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts. He continued to write more books over the summer breaks during his school years, publishing about one book a year. Korman’s work, This Can’t Be Happening at Macdonald Hall (1978), was published when he was 14 years old. He began writing in middle school when his seventh-grade teacher requested that the students write a novel during English class. Korman was born on October 23, 1963, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. They include the Masterminds, Hypnotists, Swindle, On the Run, Dive, Island, and Monday Night Football Club series. Although he wrote some stand-alone novels, he was perhaps best known for his groups of books. Canadian children’s and young adult author Gordon Korman wrote more than 80 books and had his stories translated into numerous languages.
